Regine I. Diamond, LCSW, has been in private practice for over 20 years specializing in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety Disorders (including Panic Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia, and Specific Phobias) and Trichotillomania.
Ms. Diamond holds a Florida License in Clinical Social Work (FLSW 5503). She is a professional member of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation and the Trichotillomania Learning Center.
She received her Master’s degree in 1995 for Clinical Social Work (M.S.W.) from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. She also earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1991 from I.I.T. Chicago-Kent College of Law.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
My therapeutic style is to work with you in an interactive, collaborative and constructive manner — emphasizing both insight and action. I understand that persons with OCD, Anxiety Disorders and Trichotillomania often feel misunderstood, even by mental health care professionals. My clinical experience will provide you with effective treatment in a non-judgmental, supportive and caring manner.
I use proven techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness & Inference Based Therapy), Habit Reversal Training and Relaxation Training. These techniques will enable you to manage your anxiety and “interfering” obsessions, compulsions and/or impulses thereby resulting in a more enjoyable and fulfilling quality of life.
I counsel individuals throughout the state of Florida. My hours are flexible with daytime, evening and Saturday appointments.
